Honest expectations

Most stomach bugs are viral and pass in a couple of days — the appointment focuses on symptom relief, hydration strategy, and knowing exactly which warning signs mean you need in-person care. Anti-nausea medication is prescribed when appropriate. Severe pain, signs of serious dehydration, or blood are in-person problems, and your clinician will say so directly.
